EAGLES KNOCK OFF FIRST PLACE BRUINS

Dec. 06, 2025

Saturday night saw the Eagles head east to Camrose to take on the undefeated Bruins at the Max MacLean Arena.

The hometown Bruins got out to a quick start and took a 2-0 lead into the first intermission.

The Eagles responded in the second period, getting powerplay tallies from Nick Leyer and Brad Bourke, tying the game at 2-2. The Bruins regained the lead before the end of the period, setting up a hard fought and exciting third period.

In the third, Scott Glennie tied the game with just over a minute to play in regulation, sending the game to overtime.

In the extra frame, Blake Grainger would complete the comeback for the Eagles, chipping one past the Bruins netminder and sending the Eagles home with the victory.

Wyatt Hoflin was solid in the pipes for the Eagles, making 49 saves for the victory!
