EAGLES TAKE ON DEFENDING CHAMPION GENERALS IN SECOND ROUND OF PLAYOFFS

The Stony Plain Eagles continue their North Central Hockey League (NCHL) playoffs with a second round matchup against the defending champion Lacombe Generals with the best-of-five series beginning Saturday night at Glenn Hall Arena.

The Eagles solidified their place into the second round of the playoffs following a three-game sweep over the Camrose Bruins in the opening round of playoff action while the Generals punched their ticket to round two after a three-game sweep of their own, taking down the Bonnyville Pontiacs.

Game 1 of the series gets going on Saturday in Stony Plain before the action shifts to Lacombe for Games 2 & 3.
