The Stony Plain Eagles headed down Highway 2 for a matchup with the Innisfail Eagles on Saturday night, with the hometown Eagles taking a decisive 14-2 victory.
The only bright spot for Stony Plain was Eric Perneel continuing his hot hand, scoring one of the Eagles goals, while James Taylor notched the other.
Colton Iwaschuk started the game, taking the loss in goal and was replaced by Wyatt Hoflin after 40 minutes.
The Eagles will look to get back on the winning track this weekend as they travel to Lacombe for a Friday night battle with the Generals.
